The Foundation in Science (FiS) would like to joyfully announce the huge success of the FiS Batch 14 Integrated Poster Presentation (POSMED 14) which was held recently on 1st June 2017 (Thursday) at Dato Pathmanabhan Hall.

POSMED is a compulsory group assignment for all FiS Semester 1 students, in which the students are required to design and present a poster based on the topic given to each group. The content of the poster must cover the aspects of fundamental science subjects, i.e. Biology, Physics, Mathematics and clinical correlation.

Since its maiden debut in 2012, POSMED has been a high quality learning platform for knowledge and experience exchange between faculty and students. However, what made POSMED 14 one-of-a-kind was the inaugural attempt for students to produce a prototype to complement their posters. This new and innovative format has indeed elevated POSMED to a whole new level of intellectual experience. On behalf of our FiS Programme Head cum POSMED Advisor, Dr Rashmirekha Sahoo, I would like to thank the jury members – Prof Soumendra Sahoo (HOD, Dept of Opthalmology, FOM), Prof K L Karanth (Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynecology, FOM) and Dr Sowmya Nettem (Dept. of Periodontics, FOD) for evaluating the student’s creativities.

As a commemoration of the FiS Batch 14 students’ effort and creativity, as well as to offer the campus community a glimpse of what POSMED is, a POSMED 14 Posters & Prototype Exhibition will be held at the Reading Area, Library Complex, MMMC. We welcome all to the exhibition.
